I don’t want my publication to be public. How can I make it private?

To make your publications private, there are three options:

  1. Make your publication available to you only.
  2. Make your publication available through a private URL. This means that your publication will only be accessible to those you share the private URL with, it will not appear on the Calaméo website nor will it be indexed by search engines. This option is available to all users.
  3. For a more secure private access, PREMIUM and PLATINUM users can make their publications available only to their Subscribers, through username and password access.

Go to the Publications page of your account.

Place your cursor over a publication and click on the Pencil icon.

In the window that opens, under the General tab, you will find the options for making your publication private.

Once you have selected Private, further options will display.

Select the private access you wish to have for your publication. If you don't select one of the options, your publication will be available only to you.

For BASIC users, the option for allowing subscriber access will be unavailable.

Please note that for a Subscriber to have access to a publication, it is necessary to assign them their access. You can do this under the Subscribers tab of your account.
